A territory eligible to the “Rated-up industry” Regional development subsidy (PAT), to the Feder European subsidies and to the Defence industry reconversion fund (FRED). Local authorities can intervene concerning real estate projects generating employment. In this region, as opposed to a major part of the West region, both SMEs (33% max. of the real estate project) and industrial groups (23% max. of the real estate project) are eligible to these subsidies.
Within less than three years, all real estate development industrial projects generating employment were assisted: Miroiteries de l’Ouest, Crigent, Rotanotice, Papeteries de Veuze, CERP, A2C, Oze design, Clair’embal, Chiminove, AMG Violet, Ruelloise des viandes, Cartex, Soppec…

These subsidies assist real estate projects funded by companies with a bank leasing, provided that these projects create at least 3 jobs within 3 years. Companies working in the production and service sectors are eligible to it.
Three local schemes can also be mobilised in this context:
- Subsidy from the ComAga (download the plan in PDF format)
- Subsidy from the Conseil Général de la Charente
- Subsidy from Europe
Upon request, the Economic development department of the ComAGA can deal with the application files on behalf of the companies requesting.
This is a specific subsidy introduced by the Town of Angoulême. It completes the Oséo-ANVAR schemes to foster innovation and R&D investments in the region.
It comes in the form of a subsidy which helps funding:
- expenses of feasibility studies, prior to the project (financial, technical, marketing studies)
- part of the salaries related to the hiring of an engineer / researcher for R&D
- helping young people in training for innovative technical missions in companies

The Regional convention for employment development through economics (CoRDEE), created after the adoption of the Economic development regional scheme in June 2005, forms the new assistance scheme for the development of companies.
The ComAGA is the only gateway for company assistance on its territory. Indeed, it signed a convention with the Poitou-Charentes Region on 23 October which improves the readability of existing subsidies and reinforces the major role of regions for economic development.
A unique service is thus offered to micro businesses and SME and allows:
- Information, followed by local education on development, funding and takeover assistance granted in the frame of the regional CORDEE plan.
CoRDEE is the direct assistance scheme for SME working in the field of production or production service. It is a global assistance which comes in the form of a repayable advance, for a 1 or2 year project. It integrates all the major existing subsidies concerning employment, material and intangible investments, consultancy, executive hiring, etc...
- complete information to companies about innovation, training (CORDEFOP) and export (CORDEX) assistance as well as the whole public support schemes (Region, State, European funds and subsidies from Local authorities).
